Ramco, the surplus equipment auctioneer and asset disposal specialist, has expanded its used entertainment equipment offering with an auction of surplus audio-visual assets from Production Resource Group (PRG), one of the world’s largest events businesses.
PRG provide full-circle, bespoke event production solutions for live events across the UK and internationally - including the hire and management of equipment ranging from staging and rigging to lighting, sound and effects. Their impressive client list includes Creamfields and Download festivals, sporting events such as the Olympics and Formula 1, and West End theatre productions including Wicked.
Ramco’s auction for PRG adds to their growing portfolio of audio-visual equipment sales, which are now held three times a year and collectively rehome thousands of used audio-visual equipment items.
The auction of PRG’s assets will go live on Ramco’s website on the 4th of November this year and will see a range of high-quality used audio-visual equipment items – from LED walls and moving heads to truss and power distribution – made available to trade buyers and the general public, both in the UK and further afield.
Henry Sanderson, Ramco’s Business Development Executive who looks after the audio-visual equipment sector, commented: “We’re so pleased to be collaborating with PRG to help them manage their stock rotation and sale of used equipment.
“Over the last 18 months, working with events production and hire businesses across the UK, we’ve built an established marketplace for used audio-visual equipment. We’re excited to build on that with a dedicated auction for PRG.
“Ramco’s efficient and hassle-free service means PRG can make the most of the value in its surplus equipment, in turn clearing space, generating a financial return and ensuring the equipment is reused.”
Dirk Bosloirs, PRG’s Director of Used Equipment Sales (Europe, Middle East, Africa), added: "By hosting auctions of surplus equipment, PRG can rotate stock effectively and refresh its inventory with the latest technology to support its growing global customer base.
“Working with Ramco means we’re able to quickly clear stock and free up space, all whilst making our quality used equipment available to production professionals and venues worldwide.”
