Our company history

2023

Ramco was re-awarded with the nationwide MoD contract for the reuse of commercial assets, now including the sale of clothing and textiles. With nearly 30 years’ experience working with the MoD, Ramco is delighted to add this contract to the existing scrap metal contract it also operates. Ramco’s service is awarded a place on an NHS Shared Business Services sustainable waste framework, providing asset reuse services for trusts and public sector organisations across the UK. And for the first time ever, Ramco helped BBC Studios reuse unwanted props and costumes from the Eurovision 2023 event in Liverpool, giving fans an opportunity to own a piece of Eurovision history!

2022

Ramco lands another UK-wide public sector contract, managing the disposal of road gritters and traffic officer vehicles for National Highways. The organisation continues to grow, welcoming six new staff members, taking the total team to forty-one. Ramco wins its first Footprint Sustainable Supplier award and, for the second year in a row, is shortlisted in the finals of the prestigious edie awards in the circular economy category.

2021

Continuing our mission to give every surplus asset a new lease of life, Ramco differentiates its service and is awarded a UK-wide MoD contract to handle the disposal of scrap metal. We welcomed 50 new clients from the energy, entertainment and emergency service sectors and gained 8 new employees.

Proud to be a long-term employer, four members of the team celebrated 20 years with Ramco, joining only three other employees in an exclusive club.

Ramco secures yet another MoD contract, maintaining its position as the organisations chosen supplier of compliant, auditable, and secure end-to-end asset disposal services. To provide additional security Ramco has added ISO22301 and Cyber Essential Plus accreditation to its already impressive portfolio.
