Ramco has published its updated Carbon Reduction Plan for 2026, further solidifying its commitment to achieving net zero emissions by 2050 or earlier. The plan builds on progress since the previous CRP and reflects Ramco's dedication to reducing the environmental impact of its operations while building on the wider sustainability benefits Ramco's services provide for clients.
Since publishing its first Carbon Reduction Plan, Ramco has made meaningful progress across several areas. Key initiatives completed include replacing a 15-year-old HVAC system at a cost of nearly £90,000, transitioning diesel forklifts to BioLPG with the installation of two bulk tanks across two sites, achieving a 32% reduction in CO2 emissions, and replacing several diesel vehicles with hybrid and fully electric alternatives.
Ramco also introduced a Sustainable Procurement Policy in 2025 that aligns operationally and encourages carbon reduction and sustainable collaboration throughout its supply chain.
Ramco's sustainability credentials have also been independently recognized through the EcoVadis certification, achieving a sustainability score of 72 out of 100 – the top 14% of all companies assessed. This reflects the work Ramco and its team have put into prioritising sustainability, and driving change, at every level and operational process.
As part of this updated plan, Ramco has transitioned to the Sage Carbon Reporting system to track and measure its emissions footprint with greater depth and accuracy. This provides access to more granular data reporting and updated emissions factors, leading to the decision to set a new 2024 baseline to ensure data remains comparable year on year.
Ramco's total emissions in 2025 were 1,477 tCO2e, with a carbon intensity of 129.49 tCO2e per £1m of turnover – an improvement on the 2024 baseline intensity of 148.69.
Neil Sanderson, Managing Director commented:
"When we published our first Carbon Reduction Plan in 2025, we made a clear commitment to achieving net zero by 2050. This updated plan is our opportunity to highlight the progress we’ve made towards achieving that goal. The steps we've taken across our entire operation reflects a genuine commitment from everyone at Ramco to reduce our environmental impact. Sustainability has always been, and will continue to be, one of our core values."
