Ramco (UK) Ltd joins the Footprint Responsible Business Recovery Forum

Specialist asset disposal service provider and large surplus goods outlet Ramco (UK) Ltd have joined forces with the likes of foodservice industry giants Greene King, Compass, Sodexo, TGI Fridays, Aramark and Sodexo to form the Footprint Responsible Business Recovery Forum (RBRF). The RBRF, a collaborative group, is designed to foster knowledge sharing and P2P learning with the aim of building a resilient foodservice industry that can efficiently recover in what is a challenging post-COVID-19 marketplace.

COVID-19 has undoubtedly caused significant disruption in the foodservice sector, with many operators, contract caterers and other foodservice businesses forced to shut the doors, leaving business owners and foodservice professionals in very uncertain times indeed. Whilst some business closures were unfortunately inevitable, other operators and supply chain businesses are left searching for answers on what they need to do to ensure a sustainable and fruitful recovery that secures their business for the future.

Centered around Sustainable Responsible Business, Footprint has been at the very epicenter of ethically-minded business strategy in the foodservice sector, providing the latest information, advice, insights, and thought-leadership from within the industry; ultimately leading the industry towards a general transition away from the prevalent and acutely unacceptable waste culture that is clearly no longer right or sustainable.

With its knowledge and expertise around waste reducing, reuse based catering equipment disposal solutions, Ramco (UK) Ltd are well-positioned to help businesses in the foodservice sector implement compliant, environmentally friendly and profitable resource management strategies that will set them in good stead for a sustainable recovery.

Liam Cameron, Marketing Executive at Ramco, said “Ramco has always considered sustainability to be a principal element of the services it offers to its clients, which is why, in 2019, it joined partnerships with Footprint. As headline sponsors for the Footprint and Waste2Zero Awards, Ramco is incredibly supportive of the collaborative work that Footprint does to improve the waste and sustainability agenda within the industry. We are looking forward to uniting with companies to create a better future for the industry.”

As the sector emerges into what are unfamiliar territories, businesses will need to grapple against developing market conditions which bring new challenges; challenges that require different approaches to those they might be used to. The foodservice sector will need to be well prepared to ensure they can properly address contemporary issues relating to sustainable business, and the Responsible Business Recovery Forum is certainly a good place to start.
