Our latest project involved the removal of an energy centre from a busy supermarket in Bracknell on behalf of Fit Out UK Limited. The equipment was housed in a separate building adjoining the main store and consisted of four boilers and a centrally mounted gasifier.
On site meetings quickly established a workable timeframe and options for extraction including a proposal to remove the roof structure. A schedule of works was provided and once all health and safety matters were agreed, Ramco engaged suitably experienced and qualified mechanical and electrical engineers to commence the works.
Having completed the task on time and within budget, Fit Out’s project manager PG Linde commented “I was impressed with Ramco’s speed of response and professionalism. They quickly understood what was needed; offered sensible proposals and above all else operated safely”.
Ramco has undertaken many decommissioning projects over the years including the demolition of dockside cranes on a naval base; demiliterisation of MoD assets in Afghanistan and the reverse engineering of a prototype marine craft.
